Sludge metal veterans -(16)- have announced their new album Forgeries (72-84), a covers record that reimagines classic tracks in the band's signature heavy style.

Due for release through Heavy Psych Sounds Records on an unspecified date, Forgeries (72-84) marks the eleventh full-length album from the long-running sludge and noise-metal institution.

-(16)- is known for their unique approach to covers, transforming familiar songs into heavier and distorted versions that retain the essence of the originals.

The band explains their approach as a form of "translation rather than replication," where they allow their influences to guide them in creating new interpretations of classic tracks.

Forgeries (72-84) spans multiple decades and styles but maintains its focus on sludge metal, making it a testament to the genre's enduring appeal.
