The news of Brad Arnold's passing was shared by his bandmates on social media yesterday, February 7.

The 3 DOORs DOWN singer had been battling clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), a type of kidney cancer, since revealing his diagnosis in May 2025.

Despite cancelling all tour dates last year due to his health, Arnold continued to celebrate life, including marking the tenth anniversary of his sobriety in January 2026.

With heavy hearts, his bandmates announced that Arnold had passed away on February 7 at the age of 47.,Brad Arnold was a founding member and vocalist of 3 DOORS DOWN, which he helped redefine mainstream rock music with their post-grunge accessibility and emotionally direct songwriting.

His contributions to the band's success include blending accessible hooks with lyrical themes that resonated with everyday listeners.

His songwriting became a cultural touchstone for a generation, producing hits like 'Kryptonite,' which he wrote in his math class when he was just 15 years old.,Arnold had previously credited his Christian faith for his sobriety and expressed gratitude towards God for taking his burden.
