Finnish post-metal artist Harri Kauppinen has introduced his new project Abandoned Ocean with the Inner Dusk EP, a six-track release that explores the darker side of post-metal.

Issued by Inverse Records, the EP features music written by Kauppinen, alongside contributions from Teemu Liekkala, Otto Närhi, and producer Hiili Hiilesmaa.

The project reunites Kauppinen with his former Beyond The Dream bandmates.

The Inner Dusk EP is now available for streaming via digital platforms, while a lyric video for the track "Unpleasant Light" can be seen below.

The music on Inner Dusk was written during a long break from releasing new material, and Kauppinen has expressed excitement about continuing to create music despite the challenges he's faced.

The EP is described as an intimate singer-songwriter style that combines elements of lo-fi and doom metal, transporting listeners into a gloomy world with hope for escape.

The tracklist includes "Escaping From It All", "Unpleasant Light", "I Am The Darkness".
