Hammerheart Records has reissued Aborym’s 1999 debut album, Kali-Yuga Bizarre, on Milky Clear/Blue Splatter Vinyl and Transparent Red Vinyl.
The reissue follows the band’s legacy as a quintet featuring vocalist Yorga, bassist/effects man Malfeitor Fabban, guitarists Sethlans and Nisrok, and Attila Csihar — best known for his work with Mayhem — who contributes to three tracks.
The album, originally released in 1999, is celebrated for its intense black metal sound, with industrial refrains on track two, "Horrenda Peccata Christ," and a powerful blast of black metal in "Hellraiser." The track "Roma Divina Urbs" features clean chorus parts that contrast the album’s heavier elements, evoking an Emperor-like grandeur.
Electronic elements are used sparingly but effectively, penetrating the noise at precise moments to avoid redundancy. The reissue is now available for purchase at https://aborym.lnk.to/kali-yugabizarre.
This release marks a significant revisit of Aborym’s foundational work, preserving its raw intensity and unique sonic direction."
