Heavy metal band Adema has confirmed the departure of their longtime drummer Kris Kohls, citing differences in touring schedules.
Kohls had completed drum-tracking sessions for the band's upcoming album, 'Cruel Machine', which is due out later this year via Cleopatra Records.
The album is being mixed by David Gnozzi and features vocals from Adema's lead singer Tim Fluckey.
Fluckey took over vocal duties after the departure of Ryan Shuck in 2024.
Shuck had joined the group in 2019 but left abruptly due to creative differences.
In June 2022, Adema released a new single, 'Violent Principles', followed by their first single in nearly a decade, 'Ready To Die', which came out in August 2021.
Original frontman Marky Chavez first parted ways with the band in 2004 over creative differences after two successful albums.
He rejoined the group in 2017 and played his comeback show with Adema at the Whisky A Go Go in May of that year.
Adema's last official release was their 2013 EP 'Topple The Giants', which featured brand new tracks plus re-worked versions of their chart-topping hits.
The band will perform on their upcoming tour, but details on supporting acts and dates have not been announced.
