Steven Tyler is pushing for another crack at questioning his accuser, Julia Misley, who claims the Aerosmith rocker sexually abused her after they began a relationship when she was 16 years old.
According to new court filings obtained by TMZ, Tyler's legal team says newly disclosed information points to a possible alternative source of her alleged emotional trauma.
Tyler wants to question both Misley and her husband again before trial, arguing that the new information could be relevant because Misley has claimed she suffered emotional distress for decades as a result of their relationship.
Joe Perry, meanwhile, is hopeful about Aerosmith's future but remains uncertain about its prospects in an interview with Billboard, citing Tyler's vocal cord injury and his own concerns about the band's viability.
Despite ongoing health issues affecting Tyler, Aerosmith is still in touch through periodic singing appearances, including at the annual Grammy Awards benefits for Janie's Fund and last summer's farewell concert for Black Sabbath.
