The band's self-titled debut album was originally released on January 5, 1973, and has since become a rock 'n' roll classic.
The album finds the band at their rawest, packing a one-two punch of lean distorted riffing, bluesy grooves, and seismic vocals.
It effectively set the template for not only the next 50 years of Aerosmith's career, but rock 'n' roll at large.
To date, the quintet—Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, and Joey Kramer—have sold over 150 million albums globally, garnered four Grammy Awards, earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® (class of 2001), and played to over 100 million fans across every livable continent.
From the streets of Boston, MA in 1970, they forever raised the bar for rock 'n' roll with soulful swagger, blues gusto, eloquent songcraft, and epic vision, inspiring generations of fans and artists to follow.
