Aether Realm has released their new album Season Of Bloodshed, set for release on December 11 via Napalm Records. The album marks a significant evolution for the North Carolina-based melodic death metal band, emerging from a period of turmoil that included a pandemic, Hurricane Helene, and a mid-record lineup change. Former guitarist Donny Burbage departed, with Chris Jones joining as the new guitarist.

Season Of Bloodshed features tracks such as "The Blood Is Calling," "Control," "Broken Fist (Feat. Taj Jewett)," "Get Fukt," "The Weight," "Path of the Wind," and "Achilles’ Heel," concluding with "Terminus Omnium." The album blends aggressive riffs, crushing breakdowns, and orchestral arrangements, with contributions from guest vocalist Taj Jewett and composer Wayne Ingram.

The band’s southern roots are honored in tracks like "Achilles’ Heel," which tells the story of Patroclus, the companion of Achilles, through intimate banjo strums and heartfelt vocals. The track "Path of the Wind" also reflects their survival through Hurricane Helene, with a dynamic shift from serene folk elements to explosive blackened folk melodies.

The album will be available in multiple formats: 1CD Digipak, 1LP Gatefold (Black), 1LP Gatefold (Splattered Red/Black), and digital. Pre-orders are available at https://napalmrecords.us/collections/aether-realm. The band maintains their signature complex melodies and ferocious guitar attack while embracing a darker, more intense sound.
