Australian hard rockers AIRBOURNE have a new album on the way.
The band's self-titled LP is set to drop on August 28 via Spinefarm Records.
In support of the release, they've shared a heartfelt letter to their mentor and friend Lemmy Kilmister, who passed away in 2015.
The album will be the band's sixth studio effort since forming back in the early 2000s.
AIRBOURNE has been touring extensively with bands like GUNS N' ROSES and have released several singles ahead of the album, including 'Alive After Death (Last Plane Out)', which channels the spirit of Lemmy and pays homage to his legacy.
The track's lyrics highlight the power of music to transcend time and bring back memories.
'When you play this riff, you give me back my hands...' Joel sings in one line.
The song was produced by Brian Howes and features engineering work from Canadian studio legend Mike Fraser.
Zakk Cervini handled the mix.
AIRBOURNE's current lineup includes Joel O'Keeffe on lead vocals and guitar, Ryan O'Keeffe on drums, Justin Street on bass, and Brett Tyrrell on rhythm guitar.
The album marks a new chapter for the band following their recent recruitment of Tyrrell in 2022.
AIRBOURNE will release their self-titled album this August.
