In a recent interview with Moshpit Passion at this past weekend's Rock Am Ring 2026 festival in Nürburgring, Germany, former ARCH ENEMY and current DRAGONFORCE frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz shared her thoughts on what she has learned about herself, the metal scene, and dealing with expectations over the past years.
She stated that being resilient is key to navigating these situations: "I think I've learned that I'm very resilient, and that it's very important to trust your instinct when it comes to situations and people.
Because if you smother that instinct, you may end up regretting it." White-Gluz touched on the importance of maintaining a balance between one's personal life and their music career: "You're not just a product put out on a machine to make music.
You're a human.
And time with your family is something you can't get back later." She reflected on her own experiences, noting that she had missed important events in her loved ones' lives due to her touring schedule.
White-Gluz's comments come as part of her live shows with DRAGONFORCE and BLUE MEDUSA, the latter of which also features her former ARCH ENEMY bandmates.
WHITE-Gluz has been open about the importance of addressing social issues through music throughout her career, particularly on topics such as environmental conservation and animal welfare.
As the frontwoman for BLUE MEDUSA, White-Gluz continues to inspire fans with her powerful vocals and socially conscious lyrics.
Her addition to DRAGONFORCE marked a significant shift in the band's sound, and she has been working closely with the group to prepare for their live shows.
The band will be appearing at major festivals this year, including Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
