In a recent interview with France's Loud TV, Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge addressed the lyrical content of their eighth studio album, released on January 9, 2026 via Napalm Records.

Contrary to speculation, Kennedy confirmed that the songs were not inspired by politics but rather interpersonal relationships and dealing with toxicity and drama.

The band is currently on tour in support of the release, set to perform at multiple European and US locations.
