Former Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon has announced a European tour dedicated to revisiting the band's classic songs, marking a significant personal and professional return to the material that defined her tenure with the group.

Olzon revealed in an interview with Metal-Rules.com that she had long avoided performing Nightwish songs after leaving the band, stating, 'No, I didn’t even listen to them after Nightwish. No, no. And I actually probably said that I would never sing them again.'

She attributed her decision to perform them again to a need to overcome years of emotional pain and bitterness, saying, 'I had to start all over again.' Despite the fact that several current and former Nightwish members—including Floor Jansen, who sings 'Amaranth' and 'Seven Days To The Wolves'—have performed the songs, Olzon maintains she has the right to sing them, emphasizing her role as the original lead vocalist.
