Brazilian power metal band Angra will perform in Santiago, Chile on August 23 as part of their tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their second studio album, Holy Land.

The show will take place at Teatro TeletĂłn and marks a new stage for the group, which is currently formed by Alirio Netto (vocals), Rafael Bittencourt (guitar), Marcelo Barbosa (guitar), Felipe Andreoli (bass) and Bruno Valverde (drums).

Tickets are available here.

Presented by Live Beats, Atenea and Top Link Music, the show brings back to the stage an album that expanded Angra's international reach and consolidated a musical identity of its own.

After the impact of Angels Cry, the group chose a more ambitious path with Holy Land, combining melodic metal, progressive elements, symphonic arrangements, percussion, acoustic passages and direct references to Brazilian music.

Rafael Bittencourt recalls the period in which the album was conceived, saying: “We were confident and eager to go further.

It was the ideal moment to experiment, take risks and push our limits.

We were young, inspired and had the rare opportunity to dedicate ourselves to music professionally, while also fulfilling our dream of gaining international recognition.” The Holy Land repertoire includes songs that became essential in Angra's discography, such as “Nothing to Say”, “Carolina IV”, “Make Believe” and “Lullaby for Lucifer”.

These compositions show a technically precise band, but also one deeply interested in dynamics, atmosphere and narrative construction.

The tour also revisits a period directly associated with Andre Matos, whose interpretation, musical sensitivity and artistic presence were decisive in shaping the album's personality.

By revisiting this period, Angra recognizes an essential chapter in its history and in the expansion of Brazilian metal beyond its home country.
