Anthrax bassist Frank Bello has shared an update with fans in Quebec, where he will be hosting a free bass clinic to promote his new Spector Signature Bass.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 5th at 7pm.

Bello also gave an exclusive interview with Long & McQuade's Dan Coniglio about his brand-new Spector NC-4 Black Sapphire bass.

During the chat, Bello confirmed that Anthrax's long-awaited new album will be released in May.

"I'm very proud of how it turned out," said Bello.

"It's so heavy.

really hard to play, which I'm happy about because I like the challenge of it all." He also praised Joey Belladonna's vocals, stating that he doesn't understand how the guy could sing like that.

Bello expressed enthusiasm for the new album, saying "If you like the last two records we've come out with and the past stuff, I think everybody's gonna be happy...

It's been a while, guys, so thank you for waiting.

It's been 10 years." In other news, Megadeth has announced a powerful run of Canadian dates in support of their next tour.

Anthrax and Exodus will join them on the bill.
