In an interview with Andrew Slaidins of The Rockpit, ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian discussed the band's new album, which is tentatively due in May via Megaforce and Nuclear Blast.

The mixing sessions took place at Dave Grohl's Studio 606.

According to Frank Bello, bassist for the group, the record will be "so heavy" that some parts are difficult to play.

He expressed pride in Joey Belladonna's vocals on the album, calling it one of his best performances on an ANTHRAX record.

The band has been working with producer Jay Ruston since the release of their last two records.

Charlie Benante shared that Ruston has become a trusted collaborator for them, much like legendary producer George Martin was to THE BEATLES.

Benante expressed excitement about the new album's music and said they pushed the envelope on this record.

The band celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021 with special activities and events, including a reunion tour.

ANTHRAX has released 11 studio albums over five decades, earned multiple gold and platinum certifications, received six Grammy nominations, and toured the world since 1984.
