Danish thrash metal veterans Artillery have signed a new contract with Mighty Music.

The band plans to release a mini-album in the spring, which was mixed last October at Medley Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark by Benjamin Høyer.

Since their return in 2008, Artillery has issued six studio albums, including the latest offering 'X' from 2021 and the live album 'Raw Live (In Copenhell)' recorded in 2022 and released in February 2024 via Mighty Music.

The current lineup includes guitarist and bandleader Michael Stützer, vocalist Martin Steene of Iron Fire, bassist Peter Thorslund, guitarist René Loua, and drummer Frederik Kjelstrup Hansen.

In a March 2024 interview with ROTR, Stützer stated that Steene's addition to the band in 2023 was due to Michael Bastholm Dahl's inability to tour extensively.

Stützer also mentioned that Dahl made his final recording appearance on the 'Raw Live (In Copenhell)' album before his departure.

Longtime drummer Josua Madsen, who played on the band's last four albums, passed away in March 2023 at age 45 following a bus accident.
