Long-running Virginia Beach thrash metal trio AT WAR has announced a new chapter in its legacy with the impending release of a studio album.

The band will once again team up with legendary producer and engineer Alex Perialas (ANTHRAX, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, S.O.D.), who previously worked with AT WAR on "Infidel" in 2009 and "Retaliatory Strike" in 1987.

AT WAR's vocalist/bassist Paul Arnold praises the new album as a return to form for the band, citing Perialas's expertise and the addition of guitarist Rick Gress as key factors.

The album promises to be the band's most sonically crushing work to date.

2026 also marks the 40th anniversary of AT WAR's debut album "Ordered To Kill", which they will celebrate by performing the album in its entirety throughout the year.

AT WAR has announced a series of festival appearances worldwide, including Hell's Heroes Festival in Houston, TX, Rage of Armageddon Festival in Brooklyn, NY, and Eindhoven Metal Meeting in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

The band was formed in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1983 by guitarist Shawn Helsel, bassist/vocalist Paul Arnold, and drummer Dave Stone.

After a hiatus lasting over two decades, AT WAR returned in 2006 due to fan pressure and a resurgence of interest in thrash metal music.

They have since released two critically acclaimed albums with Perialas at the helm: "Infidel" in 2009 and their upcoming studio album.
