Pennsylvania metalcore legends August Burns Red have been forging their own path in the genre for over two decades.
With multiple Billboard Top 200 top-10 placements, tours with esteemed acts like Bullet For My Valentine and A Day To Remember under their belt, and an impressive 600 million-plus streams to date, the band has cemented its status as one of modern metalcore's most influential outfits.
Their latest single, "Behemoth," serves as a testament to this reputation - a gargantuan assault of pummeling riffs, driving percussion, and soaring vocals that promises nothing but sonic annihilation.
In an interview, guitarist JB Brubaker candidly discussed the song's origins: "'Behemoth' is a track that underwent extensive revisions before its final iteration.
While the iterative process was undoubtedly frustrating at times, we collectively feel proud of how this track turned out." Vocalist Jake Luhrs breaks down the song's lyrical themes: "'Behemoth' delves into the realization that past pains continue to influence present actions in life.
By acknowledging and confronting these realities, one embarks on a path towards healing and transformation." As August Burns Red bid adieu to their tenure at Arise Records and welcomed a new chapter under Fearless Records, they've also confirmed a substantial touring schedule for 2026.
Teaming up with fellow metal stalwarts The Amity Affliction, Boundaries, and Heavensgate, the quartet will embark on an extensive North American trek that kicks off April 10 in Worcester, MA and wraps up May 17 in Philadelphia, PA.
