Finland’s Battle Beast has announced a lineup change, with vocalist Noora Louhimo departing after six albums and 13 years with the band.

In an official statement, Louhimo said she is leaving to focus on her solo career and explore new creative paths. Speaking to WDR Rockpalast in December, she added that the decision was not taken lightly, citing health issues and a demanding schedule. She thanked the band and fans, calling the move a new chapter for both parties.

Battle Beast has since named Brazilian singer Marina La Torraca (Phantom Elite/Exit Eden) as their new vocalist, with Japan and Australia set to host the new lineup in March.

Pro-shot footage of Battle Beast performing “Straight To The Heart” at Eurosonic Festival 2019, along with Louhimo’s final show with the band at Progresja in Warsaw on December 14, is available now.

Louhimo also spoke with Finland’s Chaoszine, saying her departure was the result of a long process and ultimately came down to prioritizing what she wants in life.
