Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH have kicked off their 'In League With Satan' co-headline European tour with DIMMU BORGIR. The trek began on Friday, October 9, at Halle 622 in Zurich, Switzerland, with support from Swedish black metal icons DARK FUNERAL. BEHEMOTH's 14-song set included the live debut of three tracks: 'To Drown The Svn In Wine' from their upcoming 2025 album 'The Shit Ov God', 'I, Scvlptor', and a cover of VENOM's 'In League With Satan'. The performance marked the first time the track was played live, featuring guest vocalist Shagrath of DIMMU BORGIR. The full setlist, as recorded on Setlist.fm, includes songs such as 'Daimonos', 'Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer', 'Thy Becoming Eternal', 'The Shit Ov God', 'Conquer All', 'Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel', 'I, Scvlptor', 'Ov Fire And The Void', 'To Drown The Svn In Wine', 'Bartzabel', 'In League With Satan (VENOM cover) with Shagrath', 'Slaves Shall Serve', 'Chant For Eschaton 2000', and 'O Father O Satan O Sun'.

The tour's name is a nod to VENOM's seminal 1983 track, which originally featured Shagrath of DIMMU BORGIR. The song was recorded with a seven-string guitar setup and has been reimagined with greater intensity. 'I, Scvlptor' is an exclusive release featuring eight previously unreleased tracks, including two re-recorded versions of early BEHEMOTH material: 'Rise Of The Blackstorm Of Evil' from 'The Return Of The Northern Moon' (1992) and 'In Thy Pandemaeternum' from 'Pandemonic Incantations' (1998). The release pays tribute to influential bands like BATHORY and VENOM, with tracks inspired by their original works.

BEHEMOTH's rise from the Polish underground to global commercial success includes landmark chart entries on the U.S. Billboard 200. 'The Apostasy' (2007) debuted at No. 149, 'Evangelion' (2009) reached No. 56, 'The Satanist' (2014) hit No. 34 — the highest-charting black or death metal album at the time — and 'I Loved You At Your Darkest' (2018) debuted at No. 85. The band also achieved No. 1 status on Poland's OLIS chart and charted in Germany, Sweden, the UK, and Australia. Their 2022 release 'Opvs Contra Natvram' entered the U.K. official albums chart at No. 19, further solidifying their status as one of the most commercially viable extreme metal acts worldwide.
