Rock legend Billy Idol is included in the newly announced nominations for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame's Class Of 2026 alongside Phil Collins, Lauryn Hill, OASIS, Sade, IRON MAIDEN, Jeff Buckley and many more.

The nomination recognizes Idol's significant contributions to rock music over four decades, marked by his pioneering work as the frontman of Generation X and subsequent successful solo career.

With a discography spanning numerous albums, including his self-titled debut, "Rebel Yell", and critically acclaimed releases like 2014's "Crawling from the Ground".

Idol has continued to tour extensively around the world since 2012 with his longtime guitarist Steve Stevens on board.

The artist is also set to release a forthcoming feature-length documentary film, "Billy Idol Should Be Dead", in theatres nationwide today following its premiere at Los Angeles's TCL Chinese Theatre.,The film, directed by Jonas Åkerlund and produced by Live Nation Studios, chronicles the life and career of punk pioneer-turned-rock icon Billy Idol.

Through archival footage and personal interviews with Idol and those closest to him, the documentary delves into his rise to fame amidst the punk rock movement of the late 1970s and his subsequent struggles in navigating the ever-changing musical landscape.

Set to an original song titled "Dying To Live" co-written by Idol and Academy Award-nominated writer J.

Ralph alongside longtime collaborators Steve Stevens and Tommy English, the documentary's coda sequence features imagery from throughout Idol's storied career.,Idol has also released his first full-length album of new music in over a decade, "Dream Into It", on Dark Horse Records.

The album received widespread acclaim from publications like The New Yorker, Billboard, and USA Today upon its release last year.

Featuring performance contributions from Idol's longtime guitarist Steve Stevens alongside appearances by Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett, and Alison Mosshart of THE KILLS, "Dream Into It" continues to see critical praise.,Notably, Idol recently embarked on a tour titled "It's a Nice Day To…Tour Again!", seeing sold-out shows across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America while touring alongside support acts like JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS and NEW MODEL ARMY.
