Fender has shared a new episode of its "Lowdown On The Low End" series featuring BLACK SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler and Nate Mendel of FOO FIGHTERS.

In the latest installment, Butler recalls his introduction to the Fender Precision bass, which he switched to after playing with a Fender Telecaster.

He credits Jack Bruce as a significant influence on his choice of bass, citing the iconic CREAM guitarist's ability to coax powerful sounds from the instrument.

The episode explores Butler's experiences with various basses and their unique characteristics.

In related news, BLACK SABBATH's reunion album "13", which featured drumming by Tommy Clufetos and Brad Wilk on "13", was released in June 2013.

The album marked a return to form for the legendary metal quartet after a lengthy hiatus.

Geezer Butler has penned reflective essays about his time with BLACK SABBATH, including his experiences rehearsing with Ozzy Osbourne for their final show at Villa Park last year.

Butler also reflected on Ozzy's frailty during rehearsals and how it was exhausting him to sing even six or seven songs.

The bassist expressed gratitude that they were able to play one last time together in front of the singer's beloved fans.

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76 due to a heart attack.

His death certificate also listed coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease as contributing factors.

Butler wrote a heartfelt tribute to Ozzy on social media following his passing, expressing love and gratitude for their time together.
