British heavy metal vocalist Blaze Bayley has announced that he will stop doing meet-and-greets and signing sessions at his solo concerts.
The decision comes after Bayley underwent a quadruple bypass surgery following a heart attack in March 2023, with him citing the need to protect his health as a priority for his performances.
Additionally, Bayley expressed frustration with fans selling signed items on eBay shortly after meet-and-greets, stating that this practice is not in anyone's best interests.
Despite this decision, Bayley assures fans he remains open to taking selfies and chatting with them outside of shows.
This move marks a significant change for Bayley, who fronted Iron Maiden from 1994 until 1999 before embarking on a solo career.
His latest album, "Circle Of Stone", was released in February 2024.
In a recent interview with Rock Of Ages radio, Bayley advised younger musicians to focus on honing their craft and learning to record themselves well, citing the ability to produce high-quality music without breaking the bank as key to success.
