Finnish modern metal band BLIND CHANNEL has returned after one and a half years of silence with its sixth studio album, 'Painstream'.

The album, set for release on October 30 via Century Media Records, marks the band's first new music since the departure of longtime vocalist Joel Hokka in April 2025.

Hokka has since formed the new band HOKKA.

'Painstream' features twelve tracks that explore personal, societal and existential pain, culminating in a message of shared human hope.

The album follows BLIND CHANNEL's 2024 release 'Exit Emotions' and includes the singles 'Diana' and 'No Encores In A Swan Song', which were previewed in a short film released after the last album.

The band has also announced single releases on September 3 and October 1.

Fans will experience the album live with a debut show at Helsinki Ice Hall on November 14, with tickets going on sale August 11.

BLIND CHANNEL will also perform two live shows in Japan.

A full European headlining tour in early 2027 will follow, with tickets available starting September 3.

The band was founded in Oulu in 2013 and represented Finland in Eurovision 2021 with 'Dark Side', finishing sixth.

It won six awards at the 2022 Emma Gaala, including 'Band Of The Year' and 'Song Of The Year'.

The lineup includes Niko Vilhelm Moilanen on vocals, Joonas Porko on guitars, Olli Matela on bass, Tommi Lalli on drums, and Aleksi Kaunisvesi on synths."
