Vocalist Matthew McDougal has addressed fan concerns regarding the mix quality of Boundaries' latest single, 'Skies Cast Amber Black,' which was released through Sumerian Records last Friday (20th March).

Fans had taken to Reddit and YouTube comments to express their disappointment with the track's production and mixing.

The song features a mix that some listeners have described as "horrible" and "fucked," but vocalist Matthew McDougal suggests that streaming platforms' own EQs can impact how songs sound.

He notes, however, that even on the downloaded version on PC, he is "in love with" the track's production.

Guitarist Cody DelVecchio has confirmed his involvement in providing screaming vocals throughout the song.
