IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson is putting the finishing touches on vocals for his next solo album at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Northridge, California.

The as-yet-untitled LP, not expected before 2027, will follow The Mandrake Project, released in March 2024 via BMG.

The Mandrake Project featured keyboardist Mistheria and drummer Dave Moreno, both of whom also appeared on Dickinson’s 2005 solo album Tyranny Of Souls.

An update on the new recording sessions was shared by vocalist Jeff Scott Soto (TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, Yngwie Malmsteen, TALISMAN), who posted a photo with Dickinson at Studio 606, captioned: “How lucky am I?”

Dickinson previously discussed plans for more solo material during an August 2025 appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, saying the band would begin recording in January in Los Angeles. He explained that recent studio sessions involved reworking demo material—originally built with drum machines—into full-band recordings, significantly elevating the songs.

He has also confirmed that the album will be recorded with Brendan Duffey, who remixed Dickinson’s 1994 solo album Balls To Picasso.

The update comes as Dickinson prepares to release a reimagined version of that album, titled More Balls To Picasso, due in July 2025. He is also touring with IRON MAIDEN and his solo backing band on The Mandrake Project Live 2025 North American tour.
