Former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick is recovering after undergoing heart valve surgery.
The 72-year-old musician, who also played with GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, took to his social media accounts to update fans on his condition.
According to Kulick, the operation was a success and he is currently on the road to recovery.
He expressed gratitude towards his wife Lisa and their support team.
Kulick clarified earlier reports of an emergency open-heart surgery, stating that it was not an emergency procedure but rather related to an aortic birth defect that caused a valve to become a danger.
His former bandmate Gene Simmons offered words of support on social media, wishing Kulick well and looking forward to the couple cooking up pancakes for them again.
Kulick joined KISS in 1984 and stayed with the band for 12 years, playing on several studio albums and live records.
He has also toured or recorded with other notable artists such as Meat Loaf and Michael Bolton.
Kulick is scheduled to perform at this year's "KISS Kruise: Landlocked In Vegas" event on November 14-16 and will also be appearing at the same festival in 2026.
