The Bulletboys classic lineup has been making headlines with their recent reunion shows.

In a new interview with The Heavy Metal Kitchen, guitarist Mick Sweda spoke about the latest reunion of the band's classic lineup.

Sweda is joined by members Marq Torien (vocals), Lonnie Vencent (bass) and Jimmy D'Anda (drums).

Sweda said: "We had some talks in December and ended up quickly playing a few gigs." The guitarist continued: "I think it all began with Lonnie.

He'd been playing with Marq for a while." The reunion marks the first time the classic Bulletboys lineup has reunited since mid-December 2019.

The band played several shows, including a stint on the famous Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California.

Sweda spoke about the chemistry between him and the other members of the Bulletboys: "We picked up right where we left off." He also discussed the songwriting process with his fellow musicians: "Everybody is an entity unto himself, so it's very easy for us to get in a room and find something to begin with." The guitarist expressed optimism about the reunion's chances of success: "I'm kind of switching around my attitude about that, and this is an example of it." Sweda also mentioned plans to record new music with the lineup, although no specific details were given.

When asked about the possibility of revisiting old demos or unreleased material for a potential new release, Sweda replied: "Yeah.

And that's one of the ideas that I had." The Bulletboys classic lineup was formed in 1988 and rose to fame during the height of the Los Angeles glam metal movement.

They released their self-titled debut album in 1988 via Warner Bros., which peaked at number 34 on the Billboard 200.

The band went on to release two more albums, Freakshow in 1991 and Za-Za in 1993, before splitting up.

With this reunion and plans for new music, it seems that Bulletboys is ready to take their rightful place among metal's greatest bands once again.
