On June 13 at the Download festival at Donington Park in Castle Donington, United Kingdom, BUSH frontman Gavin Rossdale appeared on the TotalRock's 'Hobo On The Radio' show.
When asked about his songwriting process over the years, Gavin expressed his love for making music and pushing himself to create something new and interesting.
He credits his favorite bands with influencing his sound, saying: "Well, I just love making music, and to me writing songs is my favorite thing to do, and I try and push myself and challenge myself." Gavin also shared that he's become more skilled at editing his own work, but still has a harsh critic within himself.
He stated: "I'm even more harsh than ever...
why not reach for the stars at all times?" BUSH released their latest album "I Beat Loneliness" in July 2025 via earMUSIC, produced by Rossdale and Erik Ron.
The album marks the band's tenth studio release and showcases their ability to blend heavy riffs with catchy hooks.
The band recently celebrated their 30th anniversary of releasing their debut album "Sixteen Stone", which became a six-times-platinum success.
BUSH has undergone several lineup changes over the years, but currently features Rossdale on vocals, Chris Traynor on guitar, Corey Britz on bass, and Nik Hughes on drums.
