After a decade of relative quiet, the undisputed kings of extreme death metal Cannibal Corpse are back on tour and ready to shred.

Supporting this year's critically-acclaimed “Red Before Black” album, which debuted at number one on Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart, Cannibal Corpse will embark on a massive North American trek titled the 'Massacre Tour.' Scheduled to kick off May 25th in San Diego and wrap up June 23rd in Detroit, the tour promises to be the most extensive outing for the group since their 2002 “Skinpest” extravaganza.

A total of twenty-six cities will play host to Cannibal Corpse's brand of sonic carnage, with select dates featuring special guest opener and fellow death metal veterans Cattle Decartel.

According to drummer Paul Maclachlan in an interview for this publication, 'This tour has been a long time coming, but we're stoked to be getting back out there and laying waste to stages across the continent.' Fans can expect to hear a healthy mix of new tracks from “Red Before Black” alongside fan favorites like “Hammer Smashed Down,” as well as some special surprises to spice things up.

As previously reported, tickets are now on sale for most dates, with prices ranging from $25-$40 and VIP packages including meet-and-greets available through the bands official website.
