The album shows Castle at new heights of constructing their trademark serpentine riffs into powerful anthemic hooks while the whiskey throated vocals of powerhouse singer Liz Blackwell fill every spooky nook and cranny to intoxicating effect.
Written alongside the band’s covers EP Double Vision, Carrie Chains takes influence from the 70’s/80’s riff-heavy maestros like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate and keeps a stripped down attack sound, channeling that classic heavy-metal DNA into something leaner, meaner, and unmistakably their own.
Castle have simultaneously announced a new US run, scheduled for September.
