Max Cavalera and the Cavalera family have announced the passing of Christina, the daughter of Max and Gloria Cavalera.
In a statement, the family shared:
“It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that Max and Gloria and the entire Cavalera family announce the passing of their beloved daughter, sister, and mother Christina. After an enduring battle with illness, she has found peace with her two sons, Adam and Moses, and her brother Dana. She is survived by her two daughters, six brothers (Nick, Jonathan, Richie, Jason, Zyon and Igor), and her sister Roxanne. Forever will Christina be remembered as a pioneer in the metal, punk and rock music world, working from the underground to stadiums and arenas around the globe, and as a lifelong inspiration and forerunner for women in the music business.
She had a smile that could brighten any room, a passion for life that was unmatched, and a ferocity of spirit that made her remarkable and memorable. Those who met her know this to be true. We will miss you until the end of days, Christina. Please be respectful of our peace and privacy during this difficult time, and our journey forward without her.”
Christina built a career in the music industry as a manager and tour manager for multiple acts, including her father’s band, Soulfly.
