For nearly a decade, Chained to the Bottom of the Ocean have forged a grim, hellbent sound at the crossroads of sludge and doom metal.
Following 2024’s Sisyphean Cruelty, the Massachusetts band return with Let Us Not Speak Of Them But Look And Pass On, out February 20, 2026 via Redscroll Records.
Recorded and mixed by Seth Manchester at Machines with Magnets, the album spans four tracks and 28 minutes, delivering anguished vocals, punishing riffs, and towering percussion. Improvised passages shift between haunting and uneasy, keeping the tension unbroken.
The first single, “An Adornment of Light,” is out now—a seven-minute descent built on themes of revenge, moving from feedback-soaked atmospherics and clashing cymbals into guttural vocals and deeply entrenched guitar work.
