In a recent interview with Loaded Radio, Chris Barnes discussed his departure from CANNIBAL CORPSE.
He revealed that the band's creative differences led to his dismissal in 1995.
Barnes praised his former bandmates' musicianship and acknowledged that they wanted to push the band's sound further.
However, he expressed disappointment over not being able to complete the album "Created To Kill'," which was later released as "Vile" with new vocalist George Corpsegrinder Fisher.
The album features songs written by Barnes during his time in CANNIBAL CORPSE, including "Stripped, Raped And Strangled" and "Hammer Smashed Face." Despite some tensions between him and the band's current members, Barnes has expressed respect for their work and stated that he is happy to see them succeed.
He also acknowledged that his departure from CANNIBAL CORPSE was a blessing in disguise, leading to the formation of SIX FEET UNDER and the creation of new music with Jack Owen."
