Former W.A.S.P.
guitarist Chris Holmes has postponed his previously announced tour of the United Kingdom and Scandinavia, scheduled for May 2026.,Holmes's wife/manager Catherine Holmes shared an update on social media regarding the cancellation, stating that the decision was hers as both wife and manager due to Holmes's age and minor health issue requiring immediate attention.
The issue in question is a minor prostate issue, which Holmes has already begun treating.,In February 2022, Holmes was diagnosed with throat and neck cancer but had completed treatment and announced his recovery.,Holmes joined W.A.S.P.
in 1982 and left the band twice, returning in 1996 before departing again in 2001.
He hasn't played with W.A.S.P.
since.,The guitarist has maintained that his input was essential to W.A.S.P.'s sound despite only receiving songwriting credits on a couple of songs for each of the first four W.A.S.P.
