Leeds progressive death metal outfit Cognizance have announced their fourth full-length album, In Light, No Shape, set for release May 1 via Willowtip Records.

The album marks a more organic and visceral sound, blending razor-sharp grooves, inventive riffing, and dynamic textures.

This shift is also accompanied by the first lineup change in over a decade, as founding guitarist Alex Baillie takes on vocals alongside the rest of the quartet.

According to Baillie, this transition has unlocked new creative pathways within the band.
