Legendary US metal label Combat Records will be relaunched this year under the new ownership of former Eternal Sound Records owner Robert Dujmusic and Alex Stojak.

The label, most famous for its work with MEGADETH in the 1980s, has been dormant since a series of ownership changes and attempted reboots in the mid-2000s.

Combat's catalog was absorbed by Sony during that time, but fans can look forward to new releases from established bands as well as emerging artists through development opportunities offered by the label.

Former Eternal Sound partner Nicole Wendeborn has been brought on board as A&R manager and Christian "Opus" Lawrence (ex-CRO-MAGS drummer) is handling US management duties for Combat Records.

Dujmusic expressed excitement about continuing the legacy of Combat Records, saying it's an honor to be able to revive such a vital part of heavy music history.

Updates will be shared on the label's newly-launched website and social media channels.

The label plans to expand its infrastructure into distribution, PR, festivals and touring.

A 2017 artwork by Melody Myers remains in use as the new iteration gets underway.
