Hardcore and metal titans Converge will release their first full studio album from the band's classic "core-four" lineup since 2017 with Love Is Not Enough, due out February 13.
The record marks a return to form for the band after a long hiatus.
According to vocalist Jacob Bannon, the band's creative momentum was disrupted by the pandemic and their subsequent shift into unfamiliar territory with their collaborative album with Chelsea Wolfe, Bloodmoon: 1.
However, Converge has since been "playing catch up" and has found time to craft new material for Love Is Not Enough.
Bannon reflected on the band's journey in a recent interview with Full Metal Jackie, citing global upheaval and personal struggles as influences on their latest work.
"Before you know it, five years, six years pass and we're realizing that not only do we want to make a record, but we need in our soul to make a record," Bannon explained.
Love Is Not Enough will be Converge's first studio album since 2017's The Dying Light Are Dead.
The band is currently touring in support of their latest work and fans can expect more information on the tour schedule soon.
