Heavy-hitting hardcore quintet CONVERGE will unleash their sophomore album of 2026, 'Hum Of Hurt', on June 5 via Deathwish and Epitaph Records.

The follow-up to last year's 'Love Is Not Enough', 'Hum Of Hurt' finds CONVERGE continuing to explore the darker aspects of life through sonic destruction.

With its latest single, "Doom In Bloom", raw and unbridled, guitarist Kurt Ballou's razor-sharp riffs slice against Nate Newton's relentless basslines and Ben Koller's pounding drums.

Vocalist Jacob Bannon unleashes his vocal fury in a cathartic scream that cuts deep.

"It's dark and pointed right at you," he warns.

"Lyrically, I'm exploring how my own middle-aged introspection doesn't always bring a brighter light." 'Hum Of Hurt' is no less volatile than its predecessor, but this time around CONVERGE leans more into the realms of emotional hardcore, as evidenced by "The Hum", the album's thematic centerpiece.

Based on real-world phenomenon, where an unexplained hum has been heard in various locations worldwide, Bannon sees it as a sonic representation of human suffering – something that transcends borders and emotions.

Recorded at God City Studios with Kurt Ballou behind the mixing desk, 'Hum Of Hurt' promises to be another crushing release from CONVERGE's arsenal, further solidifying their position atop the hardcore hierarchy.

"For the cover," Bannon explains, "I envisioned an EKG signal fusing with some kind of volatile seismography.

This amalgamation represents the conditions that would theoretically create a 'Hum.' Specifically the heart skips beats before dissolving into static.

The signal is then interrupted by a seismic event at the center point of the cover." Bannon collaborated with renowned UK artist Thomas Hooper to bring his vision to life, creating an interior piece featuring scientific diagrams as inspiration for his artistic expression.

With standout tracks like "Slip The Noose", "It Only Gets Worse", and the title track itself – which premiered in early April – CONVERGE is set to unleash another sonic masterpiece.

'Hum Of Hurt' will feature a full 10-track lineup, including previously released single "Doom In Bloom" and unannounced tracks "It Used To Matter", "Nothing Is Over", "Dream Debris", "I Won't Let You Go", "Detonator", and "It's Not Up To Us".
