CORROSION OF CONFORMITY has announced the addition of Nick Shabatura to its lineup.

The change was confirmed in March, following the departure of co-founding drummer Reed Mullin, who passed in 2020.

Shabatura, who previously performed with DESECRATE THE HOUR and the Chicago-based NIRVANA tribute band SMELLS LIKE NIRVANA, joined the band at the recommendation of ANTHRAX and PANTERA drummer Charlie Benante.

The announcement marks a significant personnel shift for the band, which has been active since its formation in 1982 as a hardcore punk act with bassist Mike Dean and guitarist Woody Weatherman.

Mullin's health declined over several years, including an alcohol-related seizure in June 2016, and he did not attend shows during that period.

The band confirmed that Mullin's final album with the group was 2020's 'No Cross No Crown'.

In April, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY released a 14-song double album titled 'Good God / Baad Man' via Nuclear Blast.

The record was produced by Grammy Award winner Warren Riker and features cover art by New Orleans artist Scott Guion.

It was recorded at Blak Shak Studios in Riffissippi, Dockside Studios in Maurice, Louisiana, and Barry Gibb's home studio in Miami, Florida.

The new album reflects the band's continued creative output, with members noting the influence of Mullin's legacy in the studio, particularly in the drumming style of current drummer Stanton Moore.

Shabatura's appointment follows a period of transition and reflects the band's ongoing evolution."
