Weatherman reflected on the passing of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's co-founding drummer, Reed Mullin.
Mullin had missed a number of shows before his death due to health issues.
Weatherman shared that they still feel his spirit on their upcoming album 'Good God / Baad Man.' Stanton Moore hit on some of Mullin's signature licks, and Weatherman noted that Pepper Keenan and he would look at each other and recognize the fills as Reed's.
Weatherman discussed how the band knew 'Good God / Baad Man' would be a double album after multiple recording sessions.
The album was written differently than usual, with Weatherman and Peffer jamming in a room full of guitars and amps before bringing drums into the situation.
He described it as a fun record to make, where there was no one telling them 'no.' CORROSION OF CONFORMITY recently announced drummer Nick Shabatura joining the group, recommended by ANTHRAX/PANTERA drummer Charlie Benante.
Weatherman praised Shabatura's skills and noted that Moore had given his blessing to the new drummer.
The plan was always for Weatherman to make the album with the guys and then find someone to tour with them.
With Shabatura on board, they're set to release 'Good God / Baad Man' on April 3 via Nuclear Blast."
