CRO-MAGS, the iconic New York hardcore band fronted by Harley Flanagan, has announced a new album titled "The Age Of Quarrel: 40 Years Of Quarrel" to honor their 1986 seminal debut.

The release features a reimagined version of the song "World Peace," along with an official music video.

The album includes new interpretations of classics such as "Hard Times," "Malfunction," and "Show You No Mercy," as well as the 1985 demo-era track "Everybody's Gonna Die." Drums are handled by Greyson Nekrutman of SEPULTURA, with production and mixing by Arthur Rizk of POWER TRIP and BLOOD INCANTATION.

The track listing includes 15 songs, featuring collaborations with Doug Holland, Rocky George, Meg Mills, Dave Sharpe, and Zach Blair.

The project aims to ensure all original songwriters are paid through ASCAP and BMI, with remaining proceeds donated to charity.

The band confirmed that the original lineup of CRO-MAGS never received compensation for the 1986 album, and the new release serves as a corrective measure to address this long-standing issue.

The album is a tribute to the band's foundational work and legacy, which has significantly influenced modern metal, rock, and punk.

CRO-MAGS are currently on tour in Europe before returning to the U.S.
