Cro-Mags founder Harley Flanagan has confirmed that he is working on the band's new album, which will feature contributions from SEPULTURA drummer Greyson Nekrutman and acclaimed producer Arthur Rizk.

The news comes after Flanagan shared a photo of him in the studio with Nekrutman and Rizk, revealing that they have already laid down 11 new Cro-Mags songs in just two days.

"Two more days in the studio coming up!!! Damn… How many songs can we create in how many days!!!," wrote Flanagan on social media.

This development is significant, given the band's history of creating music in short periods of time.

The history of the Cro-Mags is integral to the history of hardcore and its evolution from punk.

Numerous iconic bands from METALLICA to GREEN DAY have credited the Cro-Mags with having had a primal influence on their development.

Born out of the violence and depravity of the Lower East Side of New York in the late '70s and early '80s, the Cro-Mags were the brainchild of a very young Harley Flanagan when still playing with THE STIMULATORS.

By 1982/83 he wrote and recorded the very first Cro-Mags demos consisting of four songs that would become the blueprint for the seminal 1986 LP "Age Of Quarrel".

With their new album on the horizon, fans are eagerly anticipating what is to come from this iconic band.
