metal icons Darkest Hour have officially announced they will enter the studio this May to begin tracking their 11th full-length album, which marks a massive sonic statement for the quintet.

The band has tapped legendary producer Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Trivium, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) to helm the sessions at his Nashville, TN studio.

Guitarist Mike Schleibaum expressed excitement about working with Lewis, stating that he's "extremely stoked" and believes this album will be a classic.

Vocalist John Henry also shared enthusiasm, saying it feels like they're 15 again and that the album is the perfect balance of new and classic DH.

This news comes after the band confirmed their re-upped partnership with MNRK Heavy label home to their critically acclaimed 2024 release Perpetual | Terminal.

Darkest Hour continues to deliver music that is as vital as it is visceral, having clawed their way out of the DMV area in 1995 and building a diehard fan base.

The band will be releasing more information on their new album through their official Patreon page.
