In a new interview with Andres Violante of Rock En La Trinchera, former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson weighed in on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) music generators.

According to ELLEFSON, who spoke with BLABBERMOUTH.NET, AI-generated melodies and harmonies are just 'artificial' and lack emotional connection.

'It's us playing,' he explained, emphasizing that human performances remain essential for connecting with listeners.

Ellefson also reflected on his past experiences in MEGADETH, including a lawsuit against Dave Mustaine in 2004, which was ultimately dismissed.

His most recent departure from the band five years ago followed controversy surrounding explicit content posted on Twitter.
