David Gilmour has released the live album The Luck And Strange Concerts and the Live At The Circus Maximus Blu-Ray/DVD.
The recordings capture his 2024 Luck And Strange tour, which included 23 sold-out shows across Europe and North America.
The tour began with two warm-up performances at the Brighton Centre before moving to Circus Maximus in Rome, where six sold-out nights were held.
The tour continued with performances at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the Intuit Dome and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and concluded with five sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The tour's fifth solo album, Luck And Strange, reached number one in the UK, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Portugal and Austria, and reached the top five in Spain, Japan, Norway, Denmark and Hungary, as well as the top ten in the USA, Australia, Finland, Sweden, Ireland and New Zealand.
The live album features 23 tracks across four LPs or two CDs, including a rendition of Between Two Points with Romany Gilmour and classic Pink Floyd songs such as Sorrow, High Hopes, Breathe (In The Air), Time, Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb.
A super deluxe edition includes a 120-page hardback book with photographs by Polly Samson.
The Live At The Circus Maximus film, released via Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing, was shown in cinemas and IMAX worldwide in September 2024.
It documents Gilmour’s performance at Rome’s historic Circus Maximus, his first tour in the venue in nearly a decade, filmed by long-time collaborator Gavin Elder.
The full tour itinerary is not available beyond the confirmed dates and venues.
BraveWords Records, which represents artists including Alcatrazz, Bangalore Choir, Voices of Extreme and Paul Di’Anno’s Warhorse, has also been mentioned in the announcement."
