Legendary guitarist Ross “The Boss” Friedman, known for his work with Manowar and Death Dealer, has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
This comes as a shock to fans and fellow musicians alike.
Friedman, who is also the founder of The Dictators, remains a member of the band to this day.
Death Dealer released their latest studio album Reign Of Steel on January 23, featuring Friedman alongside vocalist Sean Peck, guitarist Stu Marshall, drummer Steve Bolognese, and bassist Mike Lepond.
However, due to Friedman's diagnosis with ALS, the band has issued a statement expressing their devastation and commitment to supporting their brother in this challenging time.
The metal community is rallying behind Friedman, with Death Dealer asking fans to keep him in their thoughts.
