Decibel Books has announced 'Sodom: The Official Authorized Biography', the fully authorized biography of German thrash legends SODOM.

The book is now available for pre-order with a ship date set for late May or early June.

An exclusive preview excerpt can be read online, which takes fans back to 1984 and the recording of the band's landmark EP 'In The Sign Of Evil'.

From their wild early days to their international breakthrough with 'Agent Orange', Schmenk tells the unvarnished story of a thrash metal legend that has gone through more guitarists than other bands have gone through amplifiers.

With interviews featuring nearly every past and present member of SODOM, along with a supporting cast of the German thrash metal scene, this hardcover history is packed with over 200 rare and previously unreleased photos and spans 300 pages.

Formed in 1981, SODOM has gone through many lineup changes, leaving Angelripper as the only constant member.

The band currently consists of Angelripper, guitarists Frank 'Blackfire' Gosdzik and Yorck Segatz, and drummer Toni Merkel.

Along with KREATOR, DESTRUCTION, and TANKARD, SODOM is considered one of the \u0026quotBig Four' of Teutonic thrash metal.
