Def Leppard has revealed that they are working on a new album set for release in early 2027.

Frontman Joe Elliott discussed the upcoming release during an interview with Riff X's Metal XS.

The album will be a departure from their previous work, with a varied sound that showcases the band's eclectic style.

In an interview with France 24, Elliott revealed that the band has developed a new method of recording, brought on by COVID-19 restrictions.

This new approach involves each member recording their parts remotely and layering them together.

The result is a unique sound that is both familiar and innovative.

The band has also announced tour dates for June and July in the UK and Europe, featuring special guests Extreme.

The tour includes a headline show at The O2 London and the band's first show in Paris, France in nearly 30 years.
