Canadian vocalist / guitarist / producer Devin Townsend has checked in with the following update:, It’s your ‘uncle Dev’ here once again.

Another month, and yet more experiences to draw from.

I hope you’re doing well, and thanks again for tuning in and for supporting this journey., Townsend recently returned from a meditation retreat in Thailand, where he spent a week learning from Buddhist monks.

Although the experience left him with a renewed sense of purpose, he also found it difficult to reconcile with his life as a musician.

He notes that the past few years have given him pause to question his objectives and directions in life., Townsend touches on his personal growth since releasing Empath, Pandemic, and other projects, stating that he's been scrambling to keep up with life changes, but is now finding clarity.

He also mentions starting new hobbies like cooking and gardening, as well as rediscovering a love for reading.
